what we do

CAPA members train, supervise and treat mental health professionals in eighteen Chinese cities using Zoom and Skype. Currently, there are four 1st year classes, four 2nd year classes (each class with 10-12 students), and two classes in each of the 3rd and 4th years.  More than 2,000 volunteers and mental health professionals were trained under CAPA auspices following the Sichuan Earthquake.  Since 2009, more than twenty analysts and analytic therapists have visited China each year for three weeks of touring, lecturing, supervising, and treating.

The application period for the 2024-25 academic year is now closed.

To apply for the 2025-26 academic year, please check back in the Fall of 2024 for further instructions.
